About the Project

The W-RETURN: Women’s Empowerment and Reemployment Route project aims to support adult NEET women, particularly those over the age of 30, who face significant challenges in returning to the workforce due to long-term career breaks, lack of digital skills, and socio-economic barriers.

The project is aligned with the Council of the European Union’s Recommendation “Pathways to Upgrade: New Opportunities for Adults”, which underlines the importance of equipping adults—especially those with low skills—with basic literacy, numeracy, and digital competencies.

Beyond skill development, W-RETURN recognises that one of the biggest challenges women face is low motivation. Concerns about job availability, self-doubt regarding their abilities, and the struggle to balance work with family responsibilities often discourage women from re-entering the job market.

Our mission is to empower women to understand the importance of returning to work and to realise that participating in the workforce offers them not only income but also status, independence, and freedom.
